Positano
Positano is a small town with an extraordinary location, heaped up in a pyramid high above the water. It has inspired many artists and is a celebrated seaside resort famous all over the world as one of the pearls of Amalfi Coast.
How to Reach Positano
- By train: from the "Termini" station of Rome take a train direct to "Napoli Centrale. Connected to the station there is the station of "Circumvesuviana" railroad. Take a train with destination to "Sorrento" and go out to the last station ("Sorrento" - 1 hour travel). Then take a coach of the line "Sorrento-Positano" (1/2 hour travel).
- By car: from Rome reach the main road "A1" direction South ("Napoli") and, after leaving "Napoli", take the main road A3 to "Napoli-Salerno". At "Castellammare di Stabia", take the road to "Sorrento" and at "Meta di Sorrento" take the road to "Positano".
Little Pleasures
- To bathe on one of the two beaches of Positano: Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo tasting the view on the town.
- To walk around the town's nice little streets.
- To shop in the numerous souvenir shops and the "Positano Fashion" boutiques.
