THE PROBLEM - BIRDS AND THEIR COSTLY DAMAGE

Most of us have seen the repulsive sight of bird droppings on windows, canopies, ledges, lamps and church towers. The damage, however, is not restricted to buildings. Sidewalks, signs, cars, trucks, patio eating tables and people are all affected.

Property damage caused by these pests creates an ongoing expense through periodic clean-up, repair and replacement. Bird droppings accumulate, ferment and turn acidic, destroying metal, roofing, and wood. Even mortar and concrete can be damaged.

PIGEONS, CARRIERS OF DISEASE

More than any other species of bird, the pigeon has impacted the health, welfare, education and economy of cities around the world.

Through 1995, a vast amount of research has been conducted and published in medical journals pointing to pigeons and their feces as a major cause of disease and even death. Chlamydia, psittacosis, "HY", a hypersensitive form of pneumonia, and coccidioidomycos(the "great imitator disease') are among some of the diseases transmitted by pigeons. Pathologists have reported the latter disease as "comparable with tuberculosis or syphilis in the range of its manifestations."

Salmonellosis, which is carried in pigeon feces, has been known to contaminate restaurants through ventilation and air conditioning systems.

It is a fact that over 60 transmittable diseases are associated with pigeons, starlings and sparrows, including histoplasmosis and ornithosis, respiratory diseases similar to viral pneumonia, and cryptococcis, a disease that often begins as a pulmonary infection which can spread to the nervous system.

ADIOS - THE SOLUTION

ADIOS is a clear, sticky gel which is delivered in a standard caulking gun tube. This gel is best applied in zig-zag strips on surfaces habitually perched upon by birds. These surfaces are easily identified by their messy, damaging droppings below.

ADIOS repels birds by its stickiness. As a bird approaches and lands on a treated surface, it steps into the ADIOS strip. The bird feels nothing until it starts to move, at which time it becomes alarmed that its feet are apparently stuck. The bird quickly gets loose and sends out a distress call to other birds, flushing them from nearby surfaces and warning them to stay away from the area. Soon afterwards, birds remember to stay away!

GUARANTEED PROTECTION FOR FIVE YEARS!

ADIOS is guaranteed to repel birds from treated surfaces for a minimum of five years or the product will be replaced at no charge. No other warranty measures up.

With the unique combination of ADIOS and SEAL COAT, applications are long lasting and resistant to rain and extremes of temperatures. After ADIOS is applied, an aerosol coating of SEAL COAT is applied on the strips. This quickly forms a thin, dry and brittle film over the repellent. When a bird lands, only the feet break this film, allowing ADIOS to work immediately.
