Spanish Town Rock Association

The Spanish Town Rock Association had the humblest of beginnings. It was an ordinary meeting on the porch of the Grace House, homebase for Twobanger, Bones and liquidrone, in Historic Spanish Town over a Sunday brunch of eggs, coffee, cigarettes and polite converstaion. The topic - the upcoming Spanish Town Mardi Gras party the boys and girls were planning. Someone, (it changes according to who you ask, as for the origins of all legends) in a moment of nicotine and cholesterol-fueled inspiration said, "Hey, lets call ourselves the Spanish Town Rock Association" And like a star, it was born. A few short weeks after, the Baton Rouge's premier culture report, Gris Gris made mention of it in their landmark interview with Twobanger. Once it hit the streets, the Grace House phone was riniging off the hook with new prospects, and the Spanish Town Rock Assiciation fortified its phalanx of fun with Orange Pop Chicken, the eXpanded trio, Bend & Peel, Canem, Star Drag, Hi-Life Players, tall, Mexican Blues Cafe. What the future holds for our ragged band of bands, the sky's the limit. As for the present, a performance of any of the Association operatives will transform your night into a spectacle.
